By Andrew Benson Chief F1 writer Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen is fit and ready to race in this weekend's German Grand Prix despite his crash at the previous race in Britain. The Finn missed last week's test at Silverstone as he was bruised from his impact with the barriers on lap one.
"I had some pain but it's fine," said Raikkonen, who hobbled away from his car before going to the medical centre.
"It was in my ribs the most, that's why I didn't do the test but it's all gone away now."
Raikkonen lost control at the British Grand Prix as he rejoined the track over a bump after running wide.
His impact with the barriers on the Wellington Straight was measured at 47G - 47 times the force of gravity.
The race, won by Britain's Lewis Hamilton, was red-flagged for an hour while repairs were carried out to the crash barrier.

"I have probably had worse," he said. "Hopefully I won't have too many more but it's just part of the sport.
"It hurt a little bit but quite often you can have a quite slow accident and get badly hurt.
"It was just unfortunate. Nothing serious happened. It's part of the sport."
