Ljajic 'will remain at Roma'

The 22-year-old forward's agent has dismissed rumours that the Serbia international may leave the Giallorossi this summer but has confirmed there has been interest

Adem Ljajic will not be leaving Roma during the transfer window, according to his agent Fali Ramadani.

The attacking midfielder scored six goals in 28 Serie A appearances for the Lupi last term as his side went on to finish second behind champions Juventus.

Roma have recently confirmed the acquisition of Juan Iturbe from Hellas Verona but Ljajic's representative insisted that his client will not be forced out, despite the €22 million arrival.

"I can assure everyone that Ljajic will remain at Roma," Ramadani told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"There is no intention from the player to leave the club. I have said it for some time and I continue to say it.

"The rumours that he will leave have absolutely no foundation."

Ljajic joined the Giallorossi from Fiorentina last August and, though it appears that some offers may have been made for his services, there has been no encouragement for teams chasing his signature.

"We have received offers for him but we have not taken them into consideration," Ramadani continued.

"They remain where they are."

Liverpool and Schalke have been linked with the 22-year-old.
