Celtic manager Ronny Deila will set his side up to go for goals when they face KR Reykjavik in Champions League qualifying on Tuesday night.

The Scottish champions visit Iceland for the first leg of the second round tie, with Delia looking to build a lead ahead of the return at Murrayfield.

“I'm going into the game with a positive attitude and an offensive way of thinking”

Ronny Deila "It's important we score a goal in Iceland - as many as possible," the Norwegian told the club's website.

"We want to push the tempo as it will develop players and get good results."

Tuesday's match will be Deila's first taste of competitive action as Celtic boss. He arrived in Scotland with a reputation for attacking football and is hoping to implement his philosophy as early as possible.

"We have to go into the game to try and win it but, of course, we have to defend properly and play with balance," the Norwegian added.

"We know that when we attack we have players who can create things on their own, while we can also create chances and goals through good combinations, so I'm going into the game with a positive attitude and an offensive way of thinking."

Celtic's game against KR Reykjavik will be broadcast live on BBC One Scotland, with kick off at 20:00 BST.
